He sure is and thanks! I made him a binder for his maintenance records, receipts, and my rules. He is on my insurance and right now the title is in my name. If he gets a ticket, he forfeits the use of the car because I will cancel his insurance for the duration of the six month term or two months, whichever is longer. And he has to pay for his own insurance, so a ticket would be very bad for him.

I got a 1978 Mercury Cougar for graduation, free and clear. It was cheap due to the previous owner's untimely demise. Mine was gold though, not brown. After I traded it in, I missed the V8.

The car is, for the most part, a gift from my dad. My job was to find it, register it and hide it for a few days.

Cool Steph, my oldest son just bought his stang like that but it is silver and I made a bet with him on how long til he gets a ticket in it, I gave hime 6 months and low n behold he has not gotten one yet hard to believe compared to his driving record. Congrats to your son.

I think you are required to keep all licensed drivers in your household on your policy (unless they have their own).

It would have been much better if the person who gave it to him had taken care of the car, which she didn't. I have made sure Hunter has car supplies, including stuff to clean it with. :) The care requirements have been specified in the 'instructions' I gave him, and I think he likes this ride much better.

That's it, but mine was black and the steering wheel was on the correct side. That must be a pic of the British version. Ugly and didn't run often enough.

RMH: just the V6. A GT would have been a bit too much car for him and too expensive anyways. It is pretty zippy and fun to drive.

my first car was a 75 camaro 454 w/4spd cool until cops found out were i lived and told my dad somthing about a burn out all the way threw the parking lot at englewood highscool and that was a long sumer with out a car. now that car runs figure 8 at cns .
