View Full Version : Front Range 4x4 Banner Ideas

So, in order to get a banner for FR 4x4 for photo shoots of various kinds, I had to completely redo the logo at the top of the page in a higher resolution. Also, the logo which we have is very wide but short so just having the current logo on a banner is kinda boring in my humble opinion. I came up with the following options. If you have other ideas, feel free to shoot them my way. I know we have some graphic artists on the forum (which I am not) so if you want to take a swag at it, go ahead. But our time is short...

This one is the standard logo with lots of white (or brown) space. I would move the logo to the middle of this pic. Hopefully it comes out ok...

Here it is with what I think is one of FR best photo's...

Here it is with that photo slightly more opaque with the FR brown as the background.

This one shows off the logo more than the one before...

Thoughts?

Aaron gets to make the final call and since he'll be out of town that weekend too he suggested just having it sent directly to you Ed, does that work?

I've turned to donation bar on to cover the cost of the banner - $60. Payment via PayPal is being sent to Aaron, please ignore the comments that it's being sent to cover costs of the forum as usual, I'm too lazy to change everything.

I mentioned to Ed that someone with a high resolution digital should take the pics so they're suitable for print.

I did manage to get my rig in the banner. The blur on the bottom right is my spare as the pic was taken out the rear window (or lack there of) of the Jeep.

I saw it once before. I think it was for monthly expenses, and I got busy establishing a paypal account. Then the clicky went away! DANG people are quick to give on this forum!!! I'll keep trying!

Reminder: Magazine print requires much higher resolution that web pics! I'll be watching for pics while in the flat lands of Illinois.

What he said. Magazines resolution is typically about 300 dots per inch whereas a typical monitor is 72 or 96 dpi. So the resolution has to be 4 times better. However, the chances of us getting a full page in the magazine are slim to none so the number of inches on the dots per inch should be low :)
