Does anyone know of a good tire disposal place in the Denver metro area? I've got approx 23 tires i need to get rid of, and am having a hard time finding a disposal place.
Thanks Chris

Chris, best to find a place that will recycle them somehow, for shingles or asphalt or playground surfacing.
Go here and find a company: http://www.dola.state.co.us/dlg/fa/wt/index.html
Should be one nearby.

I just throw mine in the creek behind the house. Erosion will degrade it back to nature by next summer, just like beer bottles in campfire pits.

I take them to the junkyards. They put them in the cars before they get crushed.
I never tried to get rid of 23 at once that way. I never had to pay the junkyards when they took my tires.:)

Well, I had heard rumors that you were going GREEN, Pathrat. I think that is a fine start and much better than simply setting them on fire in front of your neighbor's houses like you used to do...

 Oh, priceless!
Actually, I torched them in my own front yard upwind from the neighbors I was less than friendly with. Then, I sat on the porch with a shotgun across my lap, just daring someone to approach the property line with a hose.
I was starting to wonder if people think I meant it!

Well now that was back when I weighed 250lbs, before any of you all met me. Cut off sweat pants and a greenish blue t-shirt, sans bra of course, and smoking like a chimney. You just can't sit ladylike with a firearm while in a housecoat.

I got a reaction on the trail clean up when I casually tossed a pop can on the ground between a couple of people....They looked at me and I went,
" What? What's wrong with that? Someone will pick it up...."
Sometimes you miss people like Gecko and Charlie....only sometimes, mind you...they would have jumped all over that post about the tires and started citing all sorts of laws, wanting your address so that they could report and post an 'infraction' and probably loosing all sorts of sleep, too. Not to mention pasting your post up on all sorts of other forums....

The post is probably already all over the place. :lmao:
Of course nobody would bother with checking anything more about this woman trashing the streams. You know, like seeing how many cleanup runs she's done & led. ;)

But Chris, all those clean ups were court-ordered community service!
(thanks :))
Brody- I already got flamed on the FJC forum by one vendor...I am shooting for getting flamed on at least one more.

Geez Stephanie, that's the last time I try to cover your court-ordered community service for you.
BTW, how're you doing with the Methadone?

Personally, I take a tire or two over to Walmart every so often. They are very liberal in their disposal policy. They never charge. Either that, or many cities have tire disposal days for a buck or so a tire. Usually in the Spring or Fall with other cleanup activities.

They have cut back my dose but I am doing ok with it. The giant rabbit in my bathroom seems like nothing to worry about.

Usually....the female rabbits aren't territorial or feel the need to be dominant. I have had a couple of pet rabbits over the years, trained to go in the litter box, etc. One male rabbit I had decided to get rowdy and very territorial and started hiding under the couch, charging out and biting people. He didn't break the skin, but it hurt. After he had managed to bite two kids and the lady I was living with, I was watching for him and when he charged out to bite me, seriously dimmed his lights. I figured if I hit him too damn hard, I would stick him in the pot...Anyway, the lady I was living with got really tweaked cause I knocked the wittle wabbit out, the kids got mad and everyone left to stay with her mom for a week cause I was a bad boy. End of story was that the rabbit got the biting crap sorted right out and never ever bit anyone in that house again....
Steph sees rabbits, I see the guy under the stairs who isn't there...go figure..If it weren't for flashbacks, I wouldn't remember anything...

But Steph sees cartoon rabbits, ours are real Pete. Her Methadone dose is too high.

Mine are real, too, even the 8 foot high one that is a strange purple color and wears a large floppy hat.....at least I think it is real cause we talk a lot...
Damn....I never should've taken the blue pill...
Oh...and to stay on the thread topic-we did discuss tire disposal at great length....

Yup....I feel sorry for you Rob, if this is the kinda stuff that blesses your dreams....
I, too, have problems with rabbits, but the ones I see aren't quite as esoteric as yours....

I leave the rabbit seeing to my dog, so he can chase them while he sleeps.

I don't know why you are settling for a tie. Issues can make one very interesting! Chris is pretty interesting, right? You are pretty interesting. Brody is very interesting...I am just downright boring! :D

I dunno about that.....anyone that carves up necro's has some very deep hidden issues. All of ours are just more out in the open for everyone to comment on.....I mean, you can take one look at Rob, for instance, and the first thing that comes to mind is, "This is a man who has some serious issues....", and react accordingly.
I have never found you boring, BTW, and I seriously doubt anyone else has either...

I don't have issues...I get to cut up parts. Good therapy. Should I invite Rob to work as a guest?

As cutter or cuttee?
My therapy's much more mundane than yours: NY Times crosswords, pickin' on an old Martin D-28 and hanging out at Murdoch's or Jax. They don't let me cut things up at the newspaper. Some unreasonable HR regulation or another.

hehehe...my HR department is off-site and thus out of mind. I think it would be fun for you to cut out letters, glue them onto a white piece of paper and distribute them to co-workers.
I find paint and sanding implements to be theraputic.

Actually, Rob is too nice of a guy....but you do bring up some ideas. How about we use being a "guest" on Pathrat's therapy table as a disciplinary threat? Free formaldehyde and a display bottle after the session....
Knife/hatchet throwing and rock or ice climbing is good cheap therapy....
