That was the longest drive for my 55 now that I have a drivable. had the tow strap ready to go incase something happen. It did fine. We took the long, scenic way to the Sand Hills starting with 287 from Denver to Harmony Rd in Ft. Collins, and stopped for gas in Longmont. AlexB pulled up in his NICE Jeep and said hi. It was a great surprise, he's a cool guy, looking forward to hitting some trails together! :thumb:

I also stopped to get leaf springs from Nativetaco on my way home, didn't see him (he's hanging off a cliff or something!) but did get a pic of his truck inthe driveway, it looks even better in person.

Yup....the original run plan was for a group of early cj5s from our ecj5 web forum to do a run together...but there wasn't much turn out and one guys jeep had a mechanical issue earlier in the week so he joined on an ATV. Louis and Tyler joined in as we had a small group - two 70cj5s the 78bj40 the tj and one atv.

Exciting few weeks.

Met Andrew (Moose) a couple weeks back as he had me do some bumper work for him. Was great to put a face to a screen name and to have been able to help out a fellow member. Can't wait to get out a wheel with him.

Got to see Mike (Hypoid) and his sister when they stopped by to pick some apples from our trees. Was awesome to see them and catch up for a bit.

Also got to meet Jay (jayson44) when he stopped by to check out a used vehicle. Was outstanding to be finally able to put a face with the screen name. And the fact that he turned out to be as friendly and polite in person as he is here on the board wasn't lost on me either.

Was great to see and meet you all!
