We're downsizing a bit so we are getting rid of my truck and camper. Today we traded in my truck on this. This now gives us the option of dropping the old Jeep. Not sure if we will. I might be a Dr Old Unit for a while with the old Heap and the new Heap!

Wow! That's downsizing? Or maybe rightsizing?
Is that fresh off the lot, Aaron? Nice. :thunb:

Well, it's a lower payment than the truck was and when we sell the camper, we'll be down another payment. Downsizing payments. That's what it is.
It's a 2007 so it's not new, but is new to me.

It's got most of the bells and whistles. Front and rear electric lockers, sway bar disconnects, 4:1 transfer case, sits an inch or 2 higher than non-Rubicon JKs (although it still seems pretty low), hard and soft top, etc.
A small lift, 35s and an engine skid are the mods for the near term. Although near term might mean winter. I need to refil some coffers.

Really nice ride! But it is too pretty to call "new heap" just yet. :)

Automatic or manual transmission? Dual tops or hard top only? Did the previous owner do any mods?

Manual, dual tops, a winch is about all I can find for mods. 3" and 35s are in the not too distant future.

Having just gone through lifting a JK for 35's... You can do 35s with a budget boost or with minimal lift depending on your goals. Look for the posts by "planman" and the FAQs on jk-forum.com (and ignore the politics; that's the best site I've seen for JK info).

Altitude is the thing that scares me so far on this rig. Give the longer wheelbase, I'd like to get some rock clearing air under it. I don't do crazy trails but I think rubbing rocks will be the norm till I get some ground clearance. maybe I am being paranoid.
So, with just spacers, there won't be any extra flex, right? I have't really see what kind of flex this thing has already but I'm guess I'll spend a few extra bucks and get a kit with springs and shocks so i can keep all the wheels on the ground. Research is in order though and suggestions are welcome !!
