My husband, our 5 yr old daughter and I will be traveling to Telluride, Ouray, Mese Verde and then back (whichever way we choose) in a couple weeks. We plan to spend 6-8 days camping/hoteling it. No solid plans at this point. Our debate is whether or not we bring the Jeep. We will definately be driving our mini-van to carry all the essentials for a camping trip, but is it worth it to drive the Jeep as well? We don't want to do difficult trails without partners, but would most certainly bring the Jeep if there are enough easy, scenic family drives that justify the expense. What's your opinion?

Rent a trailer and leave the minivan at home? ;)

I take it that you mean there are easy trails to be found!

We have our own trailor, but my husband says "no" to dragging it along this time. It's easier to take two vehicles.

I'd say bring the trailer, there is plenty for a stock rig to do.
