After days of reading reviews, and researching on these tires I ordered them on Saturday mainly thanks to BlackRubi's review so far! So far all of the negative things i have read are from nay-sayers who still think they are the same old style retreads.
265/75/16 load range E.

I got them with the Kedge Grip, hence why i started a different thread. That way both threads can be used to compare the ones with Kedge and the ones without.

Multiple thumbs up for TreadWright's customer service. I forgot to add that I wanted MT/R or BFG mud sidewalls, e-mailed them with order number and they added it to the order. Turned out that they did not have any of those casings in stock and got a call from Joel to let me know that it may be weeks before they have any, so looks like i will be getting Michelin sidewalls. :thumb: To Joel for calling and letting me know.

Hopefully will be getting these at the end of the week and will update once I receive them.

Sweet! I have a convert.
Did you consider BFG A/T sidewalls? They may have those, and they're still a 3-ply sidewall.

Customer service there is awesome! Joel was a big help with all the questions I had.

Joel said the A/T's could take up to 3 weeks to get.

I really want to check out your tires when you get them Shayne. Even if they are mounted.
These are high up on my list for winter tires as it is hard to beat $440 for winter off road tires!! :thumb:

I gotta say, for the 37" tires, 144 a tire is pretty awesome

I will probably never run another tire but Treadwright on any rig.

The wife's rig is a different story. It will probably rarely even see a moderately deep mud puddle, so no real need. But as far as the jeep goes...Treadwright.

I hate advertising for things on my car. The only time I ever advertise is when I really like something (hence, my FR4X4 stickers on my rear side glass and that's all the advertising on the rig). I'm SERIOUSLY considering slapping on the Treadwright sticker, that's how much I like them.

Was getting ready to head out and get some food and saw the FEDEX truck blocking the driveway. :D

The shipping is crazy fast. Like I said in my post, I ordered on a Friday night, Monday was a holiday, and they were here on Thursday.
The Kedge looks good. How gritty is the surface?

AccordRanger

Not too gritty at the moment but I know as I drive the Kedge will work its way out

Probably gonna be snagging a set of these when I get enough money to upgrade rim size. Since they dont have 33's in 15inch rim anymore, but have plenty of options in 16"

plus I just saw they had a red landcruiser on their website which pretty much sold it

Those look great. Wait till you get them on a trail. Imagine how much more fun it'll be with those compared to your old tires.

Totally off-topic but what's the deal with the 67-72 Chevy truck in the garage?

Plus nice tires; love the MTRs! Any plans to do an axle swap on the front of that Exploder?

That was originally my first truck, that was supposed to be a project to work on with my dad, but we haven't had any money to get it running.

For the Explorer i plan on keeping it ifs.

So far these tires are great. They are loud until you hit about 60 mph then you can hardly hear them.
They ride and grip great, can't wait till some white stuff falls so i can see how the Kedge works.

I'm starting to think that there will be no white stuff this year.
Maybe we can get together and do a side by side comparison on snow/ice to see how much the kedge improves snow grip. I'm sure it does help, but I just didn't see much need for it in my application. I have a 3.7 mile drive to work and that's pretty much the only place I drive. If I get stuck in that distance, it was just meant to be.

The snow needs to hurry up and get here! I want to test these out on the back roads!

Took them out for the first time today! Did Pole Hill, Button Rock, and part of Johnny.

Aired down at 20 psi the tires did amazing! Slipped a little but not much and went up anything I pointed them at. On the way back down from Johnny hit some snow and did a little hard braking to see how they did. No sliding till about the last few inches before I stopped. I do not regret buying these tires so far at all!

Nice to get some more feedback on these tires. Now they just need to get rolling in the bigger tire sizes, but that probably isn't economically feasible due to lack of demand.

Update! Still loving these tires! The Kedge is starting to show more. The crushed glass isn't too noticeable, but the walnut shell holes are. I will try to get pics on my day off. Still want it to snow so I can see how these do on the road.

Good to hear. I'm eventually gonna get some 285/75/16's of the M/Ts

Mine still have yet to see snow, that's why I haven't added to my review.

after reading this thread and doing more research on these tires I'm interested. When my tires wear out next summer, I'm considering going with the AT tread vs. the MT tread. I've not found a negative thing to say about the tires or company on the interwebz yet... however, for what ever reason I'm considering the 285/75/17 vs. the 315. I want to do 35's but not sure about the larger tire sizes as all the reviews I see are generally for smaller size. my heep see's 95% pavement too.....
Thanks for posting your experiences with these tires!

When I get enough cash to grab some 16x8 rims im gonna be getting the Guard Dog 285/75/16's

These tires did great on the snow run! Only place I needed a tug was because of lack of flex and lockers, not the tires. Well worth the money!
