As if the political ads aren't bad enough on TV, I have been getting a ridiculous amount of political ad phone calls now, WTF????
The bad thing is they come across the caller ID different, some say "unavailable", then there's those that come up "service call", there's those that come up with a local number with a name which looks like someone's home number.
Do they not realize this sh!t is annoying and may cause you NOT to vote for them?
I have been getting any where between two and three calls a day and it's always at the most inconvenient time, like mid stream into a good pee! Damn computer, "oh he's peeing, hurry call him!"

If I don't recognize the caller ID I let it ring but then have to delete the message they leave. My new approach is just to pick it up and curse obscenities while berating them for their interrupting me.

And do you notice the really expensive (and comical) attack mail jamming up your mail box lately? They have spent roughly $4 billion (that's not a typo) on this crap. Let's see... Anyone have some ideas how $4 BILLION dollars could be better spent right now?

Oh believe me, there's been those times getting off work in the morning, just fallen asleep and forgetting to turn the ringer off, they get a big earful.

There are a few things, but they are obvious to most of us except these a-holes, not to worry though it all comes from a magical place for them.

I'll be that really pisses off the robot! :)
I haven't answered the home phone in years, unless I recognize my mom's number or it's someone from work. And political mailers go straight into the recycle bin.

I thought about the costs of mailers as well....and also thought they underestimated me if they thought they could sway my vote with some glossy paper self promotions.
Yesterday I erased ten political messages off the phone.

This is the content of an email that was forwarded to me. Although not perfect... worth giving thought to:
In the St. Petersburg , Fl. Times. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on: "How Would You Fix the Economy?" I think this guy nailed it!
Dear Mr. President,
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.
You can call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan":
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new AMERICAN Car. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed."
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that!!
P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes...
Mr. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!
If you think this would work, please forward to everyone you know
...What do you think?

Uh, that would cost $40 trillion. And the feds wouldn't cut anywhere else. That would put us $54 trillion in debt. Even China can't by that many T bills.
(I wouldn't mind my $1 million, though.) :)
And Congress members should have to follow the same rules and laws as the rest of us.

Our cordless phone has the answer button and hang up button so I just hit them in that sequence and don't worry about it anymore, but Yes all this Political garbage is rediculous and all the signs on the street corners to which some will be left there afterwards. Personally I think we as citizens should step up and tell them to make it totally illegal to call us, place signs on corners, and degrade each other in commercials also limit the number their commercials can be played each day. Let's make them go back say like 60-80 years when they had to go around and meet the public and not at any of these "dinners" that cots a couple hundred or even thousands of dollars a plate plus Mr. President should not be wasting tax dollars using AF1 to go state to state trying to tell people to vote for this idiot or that one. That last one would help save our country some bucks towards the deficiet.

They should send out all of their campaign BS, no matter what party, to everyone on free rolls of toilet paper. Save a tree and you can cover a politician in ****...Oh...and you can also read it if you want to...
