Guy saw my truck and commented on it. Said he used to be into off roading and such and liked the Tacomas, etc. I mentioned that there was a SAS kit that Trail Gear came out with....

"SAS???"

"Yeah Solid Axle Swap..."

"Solid Axle...???????"

Good thing you didn't mention 'round wheels'. That may have called for a triple facepalm...

Oh man, that is a double facepalm for sure. My favorite is hearing ARB. (the initials of Anthony Ronald Brown) Most of the time as the initials, but sometimes pronounced like a word.

When my FJ is a dedicated trail rig, I want a double axel triple sow-cow mod. I think I need to talk to Hypoid about that. Clearly he can hook me up.

I have seen a couple of built FJCs out here and number of nice Toyotas and other models. Two fj40s live nearby. Oh and a well built Rubicon was in the parking lot, not a scratch on it. Even my mom knew it was a show ride.

I keep telling Adam on here that he should consider spending the money he wants to spend on SAS for his FJC on an already built 4runner or truck. He says he thinks its going to cost at least $10k to do it, which will get you a very long way with a crawler made from an older Yota or a lot of other brands. He's pretty adamant about it though, so we'll see. I know he has talked to Scotty at Addicted to see if he could do the same thing Scotty did with his to Adam's FJ, but we'll see where he actually goes with it. I can't really talk, since I am getting seriously close to dropping some money on a FJ80 axle here soon.
