I wanted to get one installed in the wife's car this winter. Best I could find locally in Denver was $100+tax for parts and install. I just need something simple as it already has a factory alarm. Anyone have any place in particular to go? I just called the major stores around and nobody could install at this time. They are all swamped.

thats a really good price. I had a remote starter installed with an alarm system, and I paid 220 for just the install. I've gotten quotes for remote start for 100 for just install

Hmmm... Maybe that is a better deal than I thought. That might explain why they are booked. Will see if I can get in. They don't take appointments, so first-come, first-served. Gotta get up early I guess.

I have had PDA Inc install 2 systems in my last two trucks, one was in a Ford and the other was in a Dodge. they did a great job probably little more then your have priced out now but mine were both diesels and there are some other costs involved. They are located at 8080 South Park Lane in Littleton, for a small fee ($25, I think but don't hold me to it), they come to you and do the install

All I now is that it better be an Automatic, otherwise they either don't install it, or have to take a bunch of steps and measures to make sure it won't start when it is in gear. Maybe its gotten better, but I was thinking about installing on in my Subaru a while back, but the risks of it in a manual outweighed the benefits. That said, I was super jealous of the people who had them, as they had nice warm cars to come to after work, and I had to sit there and warm the car up once I got there. Like others said, $100 sounds pretty good to me.

Thats what i miss about being able to take keys out of ignitions. Dont miss the theft risk or any of that though.
