I know its probably not politically correct to be asking, but I'm bored right now.
You guys get anything good (not necessarily 4x4 related) for christmas this year?
For me it will come a few days late, at 8AM monday I'm dropping my cruiser off at AA Performance so Scott and crew can redo the exhaust, which will later lead to the sliders going on and locker in.
:D

Yeah the darn thing had a hole right on the top of it! :lmao:
It wasn't all me, a couple other people who left here a little while ago helped with the emptying of it. Their spouses weren't real happy with me being the DD's, but it was worth it! :thumb:

Chocolate and good Tequila (Patron Anejo) for me so far, and my sister promised a knitted wool hat when she gets around to it. Think I might be getting a bit of cash from my dad, which will go well towards truck stuff purchase (need to purchase my Coilovers and the cash will go there probably).

Like a lot of the folks that wrench in the cold, I got some more cold weather junk to replace my working rags....Plus a huge stash of Pete's extra special, extra dark coffee that LaDawn finds too strong to drink. Socks without holes, new insulated gloves (guaranteed to last all of a week of hard use, even if I super glue the seams), some more Duluth Trading Fire Hose pants (and Duluth Trading actually does honor their "wear em out and we'll replace them free" warranty...and I do manage to wear them out in less than a year....I am actually on the 3rd replacement of one pair...)
Oh....and all last week I have been receiving "presents" from UPS and FedEX, but, alas, these are parts of a RaceCarDynamics lift that is going on a customer's Tacoma....
Cool to see that we will now have more winches on the trails with us soon....Even cooler that Jackie got a winch and she is psyched about it! Maybe Stephanie got one, too....

Val took care of me this year, she had it in her mind to get me tools that would help me out with the health issues I have been going thru this year so to make life a bit easier. She got me a new 2" brad nailer updated model, Pneumatic impact since I sold all my air tools a long time ago, a pretty neat little ratcheting screw driver, and my stepson got me some new bags for the truck to better organize my tool box and recovery stuff.

You'll get an invite. Everyone will.
We're planning an ugly sweater party towards the end of January. So head on down to Goodwill and do your worst!
I also got a Bass Pro Shops gift card from the in-laws! I love my wife's family.
Now if I can just figure out what to spend it on. I'm thinking a food dehydrator. It would be great for camping, snacks, and all sorts of stuff.
I have a hard time figuring out what I want at BPS. It's difficult for me to get out of the store in under three hours.

Great thread, I have enjoyed reading it and it seems that many of us got some great Christmas loot.
Me and the family got to go home to Mom's house in Salt Lake City for Christmas. No persons of the locally dominant persuasion interrupted the festivities.
I got a sewing machine. You all know what a girly-girl I am. New tech jacket for biking, a nice fat Lowe's gift card, wine, and lots of other nice stuff I wanted.
Nope, no winch Pete. Moose has an eye tumor-thing to remove and I have a crown to replace. It will wait.

I think that is pretty cool! I started sewing my own jun k when I was about 10 years old as it was the fastest way to get my favorite jeans back from mom's sewing bin. Go her to teach me how to sew and I haven't been without a sewing machine (or two, or three, or four....used to sew professionally, so I had a slew of them at one point) ever since I left home.
A number of years ago, a buddy of mine and I got invited to a $2500 a plate fancy dinner thing...minus having to bring the $2500. Neither of us had a suit, nor money to buy a suit, but we really wanted to go to this. I grabbed my buddy, set him up with some scissors, and made two complete suits from scratch, with no pattern, the day we were to go to the party. Of course I had to sew like a mad monkey, but got 'em done... Since this was some tight ass very straight laced affair and everyone else was going to be in the regular 'boiler' suits, I decided to deck my bud and I out in some 'zoot suits', complete with snap brims. Wish we had the spats, and the watch on a chain, but there was only so much you could do in a day....I used to make my own dress shirts and dress pants as I never seemed to have enough $$ to spring for expensive shirts and pants...could damn sure make 'em, though... Anyway, I can't imagine being without a sewing machine...
Must be the girly-girl in me....
