I finally got my last Christmas present and something that I was meaning to buy for quite awhile. This very clever tool works very well to repair what we all know and love: damaged threads. I ran some trashed bolts through it the other day after I got it and it works just like it is advertised:

Solution to an age old (and profanity inducing) problem, the ThreadMate™ thread repair tool straightens ANY knicked, bent or damaged metric or standard threads from 5/32"-1/2" (4-14mm). The carbide cutter is anchored to a thread guide that automatically adjusts to any threading. Left hand thread? Just swap the cutter and guide in the jig and go. A must have for auto work, job site, – heck we even used it on a gun barrel! http://www.duluthtrading.com/core/framework/images/spacer.gif http://www.duluthtrading.com/core/framework/images/spacer.gif At a glance:

That is handy. When are they going to have a universal tap? :D

Thats pretty nice! I picked up a die set from work, but this seems a lot more practical to carry in a rig, might have to pick up one.

I have a full metric/standard tap and die, too, but this is the tool that is going to get the most use...

Saw that in their catalog. Sweet tool.
I have become more and more of a Duluth fan ever since I read your post about their lifetime pants. I now own 3 pairs as well as 2 shirts... Their stuff is great! I don't know if I'll go back to carharrt.

Yeah, bang for the buck, they have better clothing. I am on my 3rd pair of replacement Fire Hose pants right now and they have had no problems with the returning worn pants for new ones. If i treated my clothing like a normal person, I probably wouldn't have worn anything out, but I am extremely hard on my stuff. Those Fire hose pants last longer than anything else I have ever used.
