So, I'm busy Saturday but want to get up to the hills for some wheeling Sunday. Since it's Sunday I'd like to keep it relatively close and not a come home after dark day. I'm thinking of Yankee Hill as far as we can go till we get stopped by snow and then bald mountain road back to central city. However, I am open to suggestions.
Anyone want to wheel Sunday?

I am not doing anything this weekend. I will keep an eye open for a plan. I would like to tag along. So, if you go, there will be at least two vehicles.

I would love to, but may be installing carpet tile in my house. If it does not show up before then I am down.

Anyone know if Yankee Hill or bald mountain road is open. I'm guessing that it's open up to the playground like it usually is this time of year.

Think the FJ can handle it with the Grandtreks on it?...

Absolutely. I haven't been on the trail since 09 but it was one of my first runs and it was very fun but not hard.

I think I'm going to try to be there. Looks like a fun, easy trail. I'll post up as a "Maybe" at this point as I'm not sure what the weekend has in store for the rest of the family yet.
This one might be a really great run for many of our "newbie members". Especially those that have not done much off-roading. If you want to test your rig, or just get to know a few people on an easy trail, this is your chance!

It is a fun easy trail, Jackie, and you are completely right in mentioning that is would be a great trail for newbies and/or mostly stock rigs. The only thing that usually makes Yankee Hill challenging is snow.

I looked up where Yankee Hill is... I feel like I live on the wrong end of the State lol. Man I'd love to go play in the mud but I'm working on my girlfriend's car this Sunday...damn it lol. If I may ask here does anyone know places down here in Fremont County?
