The BFGoodrich Tires Outstanding Trails program is dedicated to the responsible use and preservation of off-road trails while providing aid in the trails' conservation efforts. BFGoodrich works in conjunction with Tread Lightly!® and United Four Wheel Drive Associations (UFWDA), to nominate trails that present beauty and challenge to off-road enthusiasts. The Outstanding Trail of 2011 will receive $4,000 in grant funds from BFGoodrich Tires in support of trail conservation efforts.

Too bad they didn't make this state specific. California has some really classic (and better known) trails...

C'mon guys/gals. If California wins this, they're going to use the grant money to build out houses on their trail. We can do better than that! VOTE! We're losing ground.

I may be unpopular for this and get crap for it but I voted for Golden Spike. From what I am reading, Moab and the surrounding areas are under fire and need resources to prevent additional closures. Yes, I understand no trail is safe from being targeted but I feel the immediate need is greater in southern Utah.

While I understand your need to follow what you feel is right, the chances of Golden Spike pulling out ahead at this point are kind of nonexistent, so I would ask which you would rather see the funding go to? Blanca Peak or Dusy-Ershim?

voted again. And Path I agree with what Jock said. I wouldn't be upset at you for voting for golden spike, but given the numbers I'd say you could put your vote towards helping out our trail instead of one out in CA. just a thought.

I voted on principle once, which is important to me. I can vote again for the local team.

Thanks everyone for responding to this, but we are now down by almost 5%. Please spread the word. Not that it's "the end of the world" if the California group wins, but it would be nice to see the grant money come to Colorado!

CO Population - 6 million

The Kali-for-nee-ans must be going crazy.

Brody

The Kali-for-nee-ans must be going crazy.

Like I said, no prizes for guessing the outcome here. There are about 10 times more Kali-for-nee-ans than Kolo-rad-dee-ans, and, since it is a similar state (topographically), only with an ocean on one side, we can also assume that there are roughly 10 times the amount of people involved in outdoor activities who are voting....Colorado is simply numerically outgunned...

Jackie
May 26th, 2011, 12:52 PM
Looks like Kali-for-nee-ans are going to get their fancy new trail potties.

RockyMtnHigh
May 27th, 2011, 12:46 AM
They are going to float out into the ocean and roll over after the next big earthquake....

Hence the need for the potties, so they don't crap themselves when it happens! :D
