That's who regeared and swapped and locked my axles! The guy is awesome! Very reasonable on price and doesn't bullshit. What he says he can do, he does. His shop is off of airport blvd and 2nd in the norfolk business center. I would recommend him to everyone!

Awesome. The inability to sleep at a regular hour comes in handy once in a while.

A sixteen year old kid on another board learned an $800 lesson in buying used parts from Josh. I'm glad your axle works as advertised.

Nothing I bought was used, but he did tell me the whole story behind the kid..

Did he use the phrase "not as advertised?" That kid's dad did.

I used to send people to Josh. He is good at what he does, and should not have too many problems to come back. Dealing with the occasional problem shouldn't be a big deal.

If a business won't back it's work or it's product, I won't send people to them.

Josh put my rear locker in and it's been fine.

I would never do used parts on a regear. Got a link to the story on the kid?

No problem. Josh is a good guy all around. If he makes a mistake he fixes it. My 8.8 had a shock bracket snap of 2 runs after being built. I'm I'm smashed it good on a rock but he asked no questions and welded it back up and added a pass on the inside of the bracket. I think he is gearing about 4 trucks a week right now, and is booked out 3 weeks for a reason.

I'll remember that. Gonna need to re-gear the wife's S-10 as soon as the SAS goes under it.

S-10s are sweet with an SAS. I have seen quite a few running around, including a black one up in our neck of the woods. Nice combo of power, size and accessories.

Start with post 479, the saga winds through several pages: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1047158&page=32

For a little background, the guy who opened the T-case, (DutchVDub) is an ASE certified mechanic. He rebuilds heavy equipment for Uncle Sam and once owned the transfer case.

After talking to YELLAHEEP about some of the other NAXJA members who got screwed by Josh, I'm sorry I ever recommended him to anyone. Maybe I hold the bar too high when I think about how I like to do business, but I'm glad you guys like him.

Kinda tough to follow but I see your point. Sounds like a bad deal for the kid. Sounds like the t-case wasn't worthy of being sold in the first place.

Maybe screwed is not the word I should use. I was not there, I don't know the exact terms of any agreements.

I will say, that for being such a great guy, he sure has burned a few bridges.
