So I bought some new Rancho 7000 Mono Tubes for the wife's TJ. They were long travel and since there is no room under the tube for long travels time to out board them. I stuck them for the ride to the shop. It was kinda rough with only 2 inches of up travel.:D:rolleyes:

Pics...

Ordered some 80s F250 shock towers 35 bucks for set shipped.

The line on the frame between the two parallel lines is about center of stock location.

Moved the axle mount up and out of the way.

Turned out good. I left the bracket back a little since I plan on moving the axle back some when I build new arms for it.

Between the new shocks and moving the shock out further towards the ends the Jeep feels way more stable. And the ride is a lot nicer. 4 hours of work well worth it. Now I don't have to worry about dragging my shock brackets on rocks and I have way more wheel travel.
