Started work on the rear bumper for Adam (sunk) K5 a few days ago. Those of you may remember that I also did the front bumper on his rig also.
Yikes!! that is one ugly bumper.
Test Cope!! My new notcher is BadA$$
Tried to weave/ braid 1 3/4" DOM no luck with that so I went a differnt route. Finished pics to come.

Im getting excited, just a couple of hours left at work and then we can mount the new bumper. Just in time for some snow on the roads! Hopefully wont need it the first day out...

The Side view of the weave looked all messed up. I will be doing that on another application.

Can't wait to see it! I know how little margin for error that is going to have. Gets anymore complicated and you will have to enter the fourth dimension.

The "Frankinford" had over 240 feet of DOM tubing!! at $4.08 per foot. and over 120 hours of labor!! That is not counting Design time and trying to figure stuff out.
If you like the sound of those numbers, we can talk.
Matt, I am not trying to be a dic but alot of people need to know what goes into building an Exo-cage. And Fabrication in general for that matter.

HAHA...no shitski (not about the dick part. ...been called that myself....lost a lot of sleep over it, too:lmao:)
This has come up quite a few times. Fabrication isn't cheap. Material isn't cheap. Skill isn't cheap. This is a thread I posted a couple of years ago when the question came up:
http://www.frontrange4x4.com/forums/showthread.php?6270-Fabrication-Gee-why-does-it-cost-money
And John....add to that thread if you think I missed anything!
