Missed this as I have never heard of it. I shave because my entire beard comes out bone white and makes me look 75....Hell, I look old enough as it is..

I will have to find a good self portrait to post. Add more hair up top and 4 more inches to Joe's goatee and the sides filled in and walla mountain man aka glacierpaul. I never shave, only trim:D Will find a better full shot of the beard, and it used to be longer.

I shaved my beard after a buddy of mine and I got done climbing climbing at a local climbing gym. I was waiting for him and looking at all the pictures up on the bulletin board. I noticed a shot where there were a lot of folks I knew in it. My buddy came out and joined me.

"Well, I recognize Stewart, Martha, Jeb, Jeff, and Paul, but who is the old guy that looks like Willie Nelson?", I said.

My buddy starts cracking up.

"That's you, man!", he said.

"Ummm, no ****."

The beard came off when I got home and I have never had it since...

Yeah, it's winter again. The goatee never goes away unless it catches on fire, gets caught in a drill or some such nonsense like the wife cutting 2" off of it one year and then denying it for over a year and blaming the kids.
