While looking up some welding stuff I came across this very helpful page, now granted I know for some welding looks impossible and with others they think "anyone can do it there is nothing to it" well there is a lot more to it than just striking an arc or firing up the mig welder, kinda scientific if you will! Now I am not one to want to sit down and do a bunch of math that I was taught in High School besides I don't really remember it anyway. But you can see by looking at the info on this link that there is more than meets the eye to look at for math.

Wow! No wonder we have engineers calc out any welded joints for wind and dead load clips for glazing. Nice find here, Sean. These are just some of the things you need to think about when designing some of the projects we do.
