View Full Version : Quite possibly the happiest day of my life

So yesterday I finally got to go pick up my jeep from the shop! After going almost a month without it, I literally spent the whole day driving around the Springs. I was totally cheesed and there are probably a lot of people that think I'm crazy around town now. I had my uppers off, the biggest sh** eating grin on my face and I'm fairly certain I over-enthusiastically waved at every jeep that I saw. I really don't know if there's a better feeling than having my girl back! And even better, she's going to get a better transfer case put in soon! For the time being, I have to go get a front drive shaft built since I'm driving without one but otherwise, I am thrilled to have a jeep back. (Kind of feel like an outcast when I'm driving around town in a little kia rental car)....

That's exactly how I felt when I traded my dad back for my Cruiser. His bronco is nice (decent mpg, can get up I-70, etc) but it just feels better to be in my beast.

Nice to hear!
I get the same feeling when I drive my heap. The Jeep Cherokee, the DD, is just that...a daily driver. A thing on wheels. Something to be maintained and kept reasonably clean, nothing more and nothing less. Doesn't matter if it is a Jeep, total POS Prius or anything in between. It is simply a daily driver. My heap is the thing that I have all the time into. It sounds better. It has more power. It feels better. I also have to think about driving a bit more when I drive it...

Congrats!! :thumb: Your Jeep must feel like the Batmobile after the Kia. What's wrong with your t-case? Couldn't you use a junkyard shaft in the interum?
