Well I hope the dirtbike can keep up Micheal!

Honestly I don't plan on stop and go action. I plan on driving straight through the boirng sections, but once at an obstackle, stick around and try different ways.. like wales tail or stairs or even rock pile..

How crazy is Chinaman Gulch. I have a buddy with a trailer by their and was thinking about doing it sometime this summer. I would love to make this trip but school has me too busy. But I was wondering if it would even be worth my time to try this trail or if it is beyond my truck. I have a basically stock 91 trooper and looking at the pics and stuff it looks like their is some stuff the trooper could do and a lot I know it couldn't. Any opinions?

Dont even attempt it, unless you want some body damage and a day of winching.

It can be done, however I would advise against it. If you are still stock there are many other trail in the BV area to do that wouldn't cause damage and are still fun.

thanks guys, I would hate to waste my time just to get there and not be able to do it, or even worse be dumb and get stuck. Any other fun runs out there a little more basic

Just a heads up for ya......................

I noticed CO4x4 is having their Old farts Run on the 31st & 1st at Chinamans. There's usually 20-40 rigs on the trail & that makes for a really loooooooooooooong day on that trail. I just wanna save you some grief in case you would pick one of those two days :) ;)

Can I ride along? Fullsize rigs change the trail A LOT! (Perspective wise IMHO)

I am open to anything really I was just trying to get the run on the calendar. Our calendar is looking pretty weak right now and I have heard whispers from other people on other forums that FR4X4 does'nt really go wheeling.

I've never been to Chinaman Gulch but it looks like fun. Think my Jeep can make it? Still got a few more weeks to wait on my axles.

I might be able to swing this one as well. I would bring the Exploder though. Saving the Ranger for the run in June on RMFTC). Just got to get a little closer..

Sounds like fun ! Im with Robyn on this one. Frikin gas prices are high and that would be the only thing holding me back. Anyone want to contribute to the "Juno really wants to go on this run, FUND":GroupHug:..lol...If i do make it to this super fun trail, Id suggest we meet at the fort restaurant right off 285. Also make the departure time from there about 7am. Reason is i did this trail last year and got to the trail head around 930-10 am and i didnt make it home till 1145 that night !!!! Looooooooooooooooooongggg day !!!!!!!! Just a suggestion since that trail is usually full of rigs year round :thunb:
