What causes a death wobble?
Lots of things can contribute. It mostly appears in lifted jeep wranglers and Cherokees but can happen to others too. Can be caused by worn steering components, bad trac bars, bad alignment, bad wheel bearings, out of balance tires, and probably some stuff I'm forgetting.

try this..
Death wobble can occur in anything with a solid front axle. Ive had 4 different ones in my white jeep. Learned, and got none in the green one :)

My death wobble was the best. I drove with no trac bar, no steering stabilizer, and bad shocks. Was AMAZING! some pretty scary ****

Had this problem in our 97 diesel Dodge dually. Spooky **** for sure.Shakes so hard and violently that you would swear the whole front end was going to separate from the rest of the vehicle . New bearings and tie rod ends solved our problem. Had it years ago on our 92 Dodge dually coal burner too . New king pins solved that one . Both vehicles had over 130K of being used as tow vehicles so it wasn't a surprise that parts would wear out , B>>>U<<<T , some of these jeeps don't look like they would have any where near that much mileage ....so.........Chrystler..WTF ?

Lots of info on the death wobble on the Jeep Forum. Seems to happen most often to lifted and modified Jeeps. I first read about it back in '08 when I was shopping for my Jeep and the stories almost scared me away. Lots of opinions and suggestions offered.

death wobble aint no joke thats for certain people put hundreds of dollars into a vehicle chasing the cause of it. That first vid looks like a loose bolt or worn track bar bushing. Dodges are known for death wobble issues due the way there steering is set up.
