hey guys im new to Front Range 4x4, however im sure that some of you have seen me around I have been on a few runs with the club via my friend who invited to join the forum. ctracy5 aka Chris Tracy haha. Anyway I have a 95 4Runner that I just pick up last week and have already taken it on two runs with the club via my friend Chris, we did spring creek and the gulches last Friday and Saturday

Welcome aboard. Did you find a way to strap down your new battery? I decided it would be a good idea so I did...with a zip tie!

Did you find a way to strap down your new battery? I decided it would be a good idea so I did...with a zip tie!

Glad that you mentioned this Cliff. The long HVAC zip ties...the ones that are about 3/8" wide and 24"-36" long actually work very well for emergency battery tie downs. Lowes and Home Depot have finally manged to grasp the fact that these shouldn't be hidden in the heating section and located them last year in with the rest of the zip ties. I have used these for many things, including emergency trail repairs like the battery tie down. They locate my battery cables and electrical wiring to the frame rails on my rig for one thing as both my batteries are located behind the tool box in the back of my truck.
