Nice! I have broken a huge number of leaf spings...including the expensive Alcans that I had on my heap for awhile. Busted leaves at all four corners..Crappy situation..

Here is what I have been carrying for years to "fix" a broken leaf spring on the trail. Of course, it depends on where you break the damn thing too..Right at the center pin is the best..

Most auto stores sell a square U clamp, usually somewhere in there add a leaf section. I carry two of these for 2.5" springs and a chunk of spring about 10"-12" long. Used it a couple of ties and tried a couple more with no luck. I still carry it...
