I started thinking about this when I realized that we have at least 4 people here from PA.
I'll start:
I am from Florida and LaDawn is a native. Her family were some of the original homesteaders back in the day. I think the original homestead cabin is still standing on a piece of property owned by her mom.

I'm originally from a village in SE Michigan (about 45 minutes west of Detroit). We moved to Boulder in the summer of '87, and I went to high school in Boulder for my Jr/Sr year. Talk about culture shock... Later, I reluctantly spent 5 years in Maryland ('04 to '08), found my husband, and we decided to move back here. Then we idiotically moved to Kansas in about '06, but only made it 10 months before we came screaming home to CO.

Born in the center of the universe- Brooklyn, NY, also lived in Staten Island and went to school in Buffalo; went to Miami Beach on spring break from UB and fell in love with florida, transfered schools and stayed a few years. I took a vacation to Telluride, it was life changing, I had never seen anything like Colorado before. I was a PM at MCI then, and when my contract came up for renewal I passed, moved to Denver instead and love it! This is a great city, great state. The only thing missing is a beach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad I'm not a native! I know a bunch who've never been to 10% of the places I have and take it all for granted. Better growing up in the flatland to really appreciate the mountains here.

Born in a little town called York Nebraska. My folks took me home to another little town called Henderson. We moved to Sidney Nebraska when I was six, to a little craphole called Pleasanton when I was 12. When I graduated high school in '86, I bailed and moved to the greater Orlando area. Lived there until '88 when my mom needed some help back in good ol' NE. After she passed away I picked up and came here in '89. Haven't looked back at anywhere else since.

I lived in the Dallas metro area. Farmers Branch, to be exact. I really miss Taco Bueno. Then I got started on Taco Cabana when I moved to San Antonio. I miss the great BBQ as well. Luckily, my favorite little BBQ joint in San Antone opened up a store in the Springs about a year or two ago.

Rudy's BBQ and Country Store. The one here isn't quite as good as in TX, but it beats the vast majority of other places around here.

Born at St. Joe's in Denver, lived in an unincorporated area between Denver and Aurora.
When I was 19, I moved to Grand Island, Nebraska. Two weeks later, G.I. was hit by tornados. Six years later, I was married and divorced (three children :frown:), jobless, on the brink of homeless, and way too interesting to the local P.D. The mountians were calling my name. I have lived in the Denver-Metro area since.
I remember when being a Colorado native got to be something notable. I never thought it was special, I had dinner with nine other natives, every night. :D
