Coney Flats and Middle St. Vrain trails in the Boulder Ranger District are open. Johnny Park is still closed.
A Coney/MSV run will be in order soon.

I got a call from my friend who has a cabin up there. He stated that the forest service opened up Buckhorn Canyon for the residents. He was going up there to see if he still had a cabin. I will keep you updated.

I'm thinking the weekend after next, Saturday the 14th.
Doesn't mean someone else can't set up a run sooner.

Has anyone ran these trails before and knows how long they take? I was considering pairing them up with a hike, but wanted to know how much time to plan for. I know the trails run 4-5 miles, but I guess the rate at which they can be driven is deciding factor.

I've run them, you can wrap it up in about 2 hours if you're motivated and nothing goes wrong. They're not too hard at all, but a lot of fun and full of obstacles. I have welding college on the 14th but I have Friday the 20th off and wouldn't mind doing these on a weekday...

Thanks for the info! I would do them on a weekday as well. Seems like it could be a good morning or afternoon trip.

I may be up for a weekday run myself!
Edit: Sorry I didn't realize you're talking about the 14th, can't do that. :frown:

14th would prolly work for me too! Gotta figure out my new death wobble first.Been a long time since I did Middle St. Vrain, I remembered it being a pretty good challenge. I think I may have been stock back then. :D
