Frontrange members, one and all! Come drive the Moody Hill and Crystal Mountain 4WD roads west of Loveland.

I have driven the road in my stock TJ, but you might need spotting at times.

CB Channel will be channel 4

Meet at trailhead at 9:30. I would like to depart on the trail at 10:00

Plan and reserve your spot on a fun trail with lots of obstacles.

I'll be there, Bill. Have yet to run these trails. Looking forward to it. And, yes, I'll bring the FJC. :)

I don't ever find myself anywhere near the nothwest side of this great state. Guess it is time to change that. Can't wait!

Well, it was a fun day four wheeling on Moody Crystal. It was nice to meet John and Vicky in person. We departed in Masonville at 9:00, drove to the trailhead of Moody and aired down. I led the group as we trailed up the fairly steep initial climb at the beginning. Everybody handled the climb and the first rock obstacle. The weather was great, the temperature was perfect. The company was as fine as the scenery. We drove to the rock wall on Crystal Mountain before stopping at noon to eat. As we proceeded on, the road got harder. Picking lines became more important from here to the top, because the rocks get bigger. I wish I could have gotten more pictures than I did, but it is hard to drive and take pictures. We made it all the way up to the final climb of Crystal Mountain. I “chose to remain at the bottom to take pictures” while John, Vicky and Rob decided they could climb the hill. I will leave each of their climbs up to them to describe, for reasons only the four of us know. The climb down Crystal is entertaining in and of itself. All in all, it was a fun day for me and I hope the others who went enjoyed it as well. I am unable to get my pictures to upload for some reason. My format might be too high. 2300 x 1296. How do I size them down?

Ughhh- I can't believe we missed this one! I try to keep my eyes open for the NoCo runs- I've run Moody before but not Crystal. Looks like a great time!
