Selective Quoting

For those of us that prefer to quote a section of a post to reply to I have added a different version than used in the past. Now all you have to do is highlight the section you want to quote and you'll see a small box to click to add it as your quote. It looks like this:

Other than disabling javascript is there a way to disable this feature? I checked in my account settings but didn't see an option. It's not that big of an issue it just messes with an add-on I use in Firefox. Drag & Drop Zones is the addon.

Not that I'm aware of but I'll do some checking.
