I'm building and offroad trailer and have been looking at modifying an existing one as well, yesterday I looked at a neat little trailer with an axle type I've never seen before. I think I'm going to pass, the springs look shot (the tires are sitting high and to the rear of the wheel wells with the trailer unloaded) and I'm not sure the axle and hubs are up to 33s anyway. Underneath it's all bent sheet steel, no real frame, and some of the welds have let go. So it seems like it's too much work to modify it with a subframe and a new axle / suspension, but I don't want to accidentally pass on what might be a better axle than I'm thinking it is. Anyone know anything about these axles? I googled it but didn't find anything. The trailer is titled as a "Boon". That went nowhere too.
