I've decided to train my wolfhound to do this, so I can have a backup driver on trail runs.

is that real? I can't imagine dogs actually having the coordination to work pedals and steer alone, let along together with purpose. my dog peed on her own tail yesterday.

It is real. Just goes to show what good training can do. Also, the MiniCooper was modified so the dogs could operate the shift, the brake pedal and the accelerator with their paws.
