My finals are over and my friend and I are looking to go snow wheeling and we can't decide what trail/trails would be good, anybody have ideas?

Also if there is enough interest on here ill create a run for it!

Up this way, Rock Creek or Miller Rock are about your best options. Everything else is closed for the winter (except parts of Bunce and Ironclads). I might be up for Rock Creek.

Hmm, I might be lured out Colin. What trail do you have in mind?

Speaking of seasonal trail closures, where is a good place to get a listing of those?

I drove from FoCo down to Den Sat aft. It looks like the mountains west of that route are nicely coated with white. Rock Creek could be a blast (though I don't think I'd have the time for it).

I don't know if there is a complete list anywhere. Most Ranger District websites have a road/trail status page that lists which trails are open or closed. Here's the ARN site with links to its four ranger districts' road status pages: http://www.fs.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsinternet/!ut/p/c4/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os3gjAwhwtDDw9_AI8zPyhQ oY6BdkOyoCAGixyPg!/?ss=110210&navtype=BROWSEBYSUBJECT&cid=fsm91_058362&navid=091000000000000&pnavid=null&position=Conditions.Html&ttype=detail&pname=Arapaho%2520&%2520Roosevelt%2520National%2520Forests%2520Pawnee %2520National%2520Grassland-%2520Home

Hmmm... I missed this one. Did you guys go today? I have never been wheeling in snow (other than pavement snow), but I think I might like to try a mild dose of it this year. I think my Jeep can handle some mild stuff, but I don't think I want to try anything severe (especially because I freeze easily)! I'd rather not have to dig out and all that... and I don't want to bash anything!

Let's see some pictures!!!

This just means you'll let Rob go ahead of you. He'll do a fine job bashing / clearing the way for ya.

...but then I could possibly bash Rob . NO - I want to be able to do it on my own, thanks! Which is why I say "mild".:p

So, did anyone wheel today???

It is, we found the gate then decided to do Moon and Gamble gluches, which where really tippy with about 6 inches of snow and I slid off and got a few good dents and two holes in my soft top... Ill get picks soon.
