I know its not really off roading but does anyone know of a good mild place to take my wife and sons sledding around denver? Would like to stay fairly close to denver as not to makeva whole day of it but maybe a few hours.

Long ways from you but we go to Ruby Hill. CBS news did a review of sledding hills.

it's always open, but no there's not any snow. Gotta catch it the day after we get a good heavy snow. Looks like there is a good park in Boulder that would be closer to you and might have more chance of snow. Last one listed in link above.

Go to Fraser, take a left after the Alco (the stoplight you'd take to get to safeway, but the other way) go behind Alco & the town sled hill will be obvious.

How is it? Worth taking a hour trip out there from denver?

In Conifer there is Meyers Ranch. I think we finally have enough snow here!

That place is super fun, but it's not free.

Almost anywhere in my neck of the woods has spectacular sledding options. Some you have to work for others are easy. One of our favs is the back of glacier lake(St. Mary's Lake). No trees, or people generally. Most floks sled the glacier itself, I stay away from the crowd and sled out onto the frozen lake. No rocks, no trees, straight up fun. Then there is our driveway, steep, fun, and close to a warm house and hot chocolate :).

Forgot to mention, we utilize the atv as well. 50' of rope to the sled and a little snow on the roads/trails and whoo-hoo!!

Does anyone know of any decent places near Boulder Longmont? Needs to be accessible for a wrx.

Also, where does everyone get inner tubes? Autozone has some but they have slime in them, which is no bueno for me. None of the tire shops in town have them either.

try asking for Darrick at A & E Tire. You might be able to get an old big inner tube from him , the kind for heavy eqipment or for a semi
