Might be best to run up Boulder Canyon to Sugarloaf Road, then Sugarloaf Mountain Road and start at that end of the trail (where the trail actually splits, with a left turn taking you along South Switzerland Trail, or Sugarloaf Mt. Trail as traildamage calls it. We can run it up the County Road 52 near Gold Hill, then across 52 to the spur that has a little challenge (and maybe more snow) on it. That spur is very narrow in spots on a shelf, but plenty of trees close to the trail on the downhill side. After the shelf road, it heads uphill and west and there's a spur loop that comes out to a high spot with nice views.
