Well just spent a ton of money on teraflex adjustable lower control arms with the flex joints on one end. So i figure start going down the line what is the best track bar for flex for XJ's. God my wife better love me by the time iam done with this thing she will walk circles around my dodge lol

I like the looks of the RE 1660, with it's frame mount and export brace.

Both ends of the bar are rebuildable. The axle end uses the factory size bushing.

I'm not brand loyal, I like this style set up.

yeah that looked great and so did the curries those are the two i was actually looking at, checked out a few others and didnt like the set up at all

The JKS track bar looks much the same.

It's worth changing the mount. You will also have to consider your drag link angle, compared to the track bar. Having the vertical adjustment (drilling a new hole) should be helpful.

I think there is another brand frame side mount that can be drilled. I'll have to poke around some more.

I wouldn't worry about that too much. The frame end does most of the work anyway.

I run the RE 1660 on my Cherokee. It is way better than the Teraflex I had before. The bracket commonly breaks and causes wobble issues making replacing the bracket a good idea. It just bolts on in place of old bracket and track bar bolts straight to it. Does require reaming out the hole on axle side for larger bolt.

I built a bracket to drop my track bar to get rid of my bump steer, so I would say the bracket is def. needed. Mike is right, make sure the track bar and drag link angle are the same.

I modified my factory bracket to hold my RE 1600 in double shear. It was quick, its was dirty, it works, but I won't do it that way again!

Currently, I'm adapting a project axle to use the Grand Cherokee steering, like Ridgerunner had on his XJ. I'm always open to more ideas. :)

I would wholeheartedly agree with Mike on this one. Just installed one in an 2000 XJ. Both ends are Johnny joint style and both are held in double shear. The only downside is you need to get the over-the-axle bracket and it's a weld on deal. Or you could just build your own with some heims, DOM and buy an upper and lower bracket.

Another vote for TnT here. I ran their trac-bar on my XJ and no problems. I did fab up a frame end bracket brace to go along with it.

My second choice would be the RE 1660 with new frame end mount and the reinforcing bracket.

Here is a pic of my TnT trac-bar with the fab'd brace, I also added a second (lower) hole to fix a bump steer problem I was having.

Any upper bracket that holds the XJ trac bar in double shear is good. I like the TNT mount 'cause it moves the mount forward an inch to better clear the front diff. And ya really can't beat johnny joints at each end. No rubber, no poly.

I really like my terra flex track bar. I dislike how most other manufactures make you yank one end of the bar to adjust it.
