amazing how everyone is an expert isnt it? Then they are all impressed when guys like us, that actually know what we are doing, make it work they way they say is stupid! Great video, thanks for posting!

Cool, reminds me when I was younger and my good friend pulled a car carrier rig off a curb with his 66 Scout. That thing had a low lowrange.

What most people dont realize is that most medium duty trucks have the same engine as a diesel pick up, and in some cases the same trans. Not much different that a tow truck at that point.

I pulled a concrete truck out of a culvert along side a roadway with my Ford in similar conditions, and my truck was loaded with my tools too giving me weight. I used a chain though. All it really takes is getting the semi enough traction to go, I have seen Chevy, GM, Dodge and even Toyota's do similar amazing things too. Typical newscaster drivel too :). Jim, I bet the strap was just a 20-30,000 pound rated recovery strap.
