Since Jackie requested some pics of my baby goats, here you go! They were born yesterday evening. Sorry the pics suck, but it was dark in the barn.

haha, my neighbor started calling the brown one Brutus, since its like 3 times larger than the other two and I think that name might stick. The other two (girls) are not yet named.

Come get one Rob! :D

Come get one Rob!

:lmao: I'd love to, but I think I'd be breaking city code. I can get a permit for chickens, but not goats.

Just convince them its a dog, or at least convince them that YOU are convinced its a dog!

Maybe I could train the goat to hide behind our wolfhound. They'd never see it. :)

I think in Jeffco we can have 1 along with 3 chickens. Unsure that we really need one, but they are super cute!

I tried to talk Val into one and she just said "NO"! Don't understand why, I think it would be a good thing.

How many girls in the last batch?

scout man
January 26th, 2013, 10:12 PM
I think all told I ended up with 1 boy and 8 girls, but I will admit that one in the last bunch will not cooperate enough for me to get a good look. Might have had one boy in the last pair.

Sweet Steve! My kids would love to have you for a neighbor! We have talked about a goat and some hens up here, I would have to build a barn....and not enough natural vegetation to eat, i.e. lawn mower:) There are several folks in Clear Creek with small farms, if you need a posting put up in Safeway, I could oblige you. Although you have more opportunity out your way in the way of farms:). 1 boy and 8 girls...., what is the math on that outcome:)

It's just west of Longmont: http://www.chr.org/home.html

Neither of us are connected with it.

Was the video of the one being knocked over actually yours or did you just find that on Youtube?

scout man
February 28th, 2013, 08:42 PM
nope, not mine. All of these goats are now sold by the way. Sad to see them go, but time to start a new chapter in life. Now I have the freedom to head to the mountains more hopefully!!

I wasn't sure if the video was yours. It was on Jay Leno last night. I remember having watched the video on here laughing. Check this out at about 12 mins:
