Man this was a great Friday. I had the day off and there was snow on the ground. Had to get a few items done at home, then off to play. Took out the old Raleigh.Man that was a blast!!!! The trails were great, I didn't make first track anywhere but man I had a blast going around. I was impressed I didn't eat it coming down Sisters trail, I made it with only a few dabs and one walked section. The new grips and brake pads did fantastic! The uphills were fun, those skinny non knobby tires didn't have the best grip. I ended up walking a bit, but totally worth it!

I consider it more blue than silver HAHAHA!! Had to take this pic with the '84 Raleigh, seemed appropriate.

Nice! I haven't seen that trail since early fall before my redislocation.

I think you'd have some fun out there with a fat bike ;)

I can't say I'm addicted, I like suspension too much... However I may possibly be provoked into building a Krampus in the future. Or, after tomorrow, a smaller handmade frame company if I see any that peak my interest.

Regardless, the possibility of a hardtail 29er is in my future :)

Also once every month or so we have a free fatbike demo day. Beyond that they're like $45/day to rent.

I am slightly perverted, but when I read "HECK YEAH!! Friday with the Sisters!" something else entirely different came to mind.

Should have known with you it had something to do with a bicycle. :lmao:

Kinda off topic but I love that old Merc. Everything about it, that unpainted fender really gives it character, I wouldn't change a thing about. Sounds funny but I am dead serious, I watch Loud and Fast every on and then and they found an old Olds I think it was and instead of repainting it they clear coated the "vintage" worn paint and it looked sweet. I have heard of shows call like barn cars or something where they want the worn paint and stuff like that, you are supposed to leave the cars how you found them in the old barn or field or whatever.

I love my Ol Benz also. She is part of the family. However my plans are to one day restore her to better than original. More of a Resto/mod deal. She has more than earned it!
