I have the sand hills run posted for Friday, June 21, and we're staying in yurts just south of there in State Forest State Park on the 20th and 21st. We've stayed there once before a few years ago and it was amazing, we had martins, bear and moose right at our yurt. There are great 4x4 and hiking trails in the park, as well as great fishing and camping that time of year. Can't recommend it enough! Figured I'd post it in the provate section to keep the secret for a bit...

We stay at that KOA for Elk season; Its a Great area.

You know bears can climb don't you Brad?

Hell, I think most bears could sniff your toes w/o climbing when you're sleeping in a RTT! :erm:

i don't know why, but maybe because it was first thing in the morning and I was fuzzy / stupid, but I ran down with my camera and followed him... this is the last pic I took when he turned around, I only got it because my finger took it automatically; it scared the senses into me and the **** out of me at the same time when he turned around to face me.

the trip is on but the yurt is cancelled, I had to back out and lost my spot when I backed back in. I'll be tenting at the dunes, it'll probably be better anyway!

Hope you can make it Brad!!! I've been looking into camping and it seems like it's wide open, and no campfire restrictions. Check out the fire these guys have going, I haven't had anything like that since the beaches back east. The brake cleaner is a little on the stupid side, but you gotta love his friend "keep doing it dude!"
