I went out to K&K Surplus today after I read about them in another thread. That place is great! But it is about a 30-45 minute drive.
Does anyone know of someplace like that in Aurora? Specifically I am looking for scrap metal for cheap (learning to weld is expensive on fresh steel), new steel for future projects, and all the random surplus stuff that K&K has is a really nice bonus. I would also welcome any recommendations on a welding supply in the Aurora area also for all the consumables (gas included).

Try Altitude Steel downtown on 13 and Umatilla I believe. Tell 'em you're with Front Range and you'll get our 10% discount.

Jared, you just as well make the drive. If you need welding or cutting gasses, Buckeye has the best prices. http://www.buckeyeweldingsupply.com/home

Thanks. Just as I suspected. Aurora is still proving itself to be the World's largest residential subdivision. There are almost no worthwhile businesses within 10 minutes of my house.
I will have to check out some of these other suggestions though.

yea, altitude is my favorite, and really the only place I go. Not any closer to Aurora though.
