Rampart Range Road Gate Opening for 2013 (javascript:alertsClosureDisplay('15490','displayA lertDetails'))
The Rampart Range Road is scheduled to open the first part of April, weather permitting. If wet conditions continue in the area, the gates will remain closed and all motor vehicle access (OHVs included) will be temporarily prohibited until the area dries out to a point where resource damage is minimized. Please call the district at 303-275-5610 if you have any questions.
Due to Waldo Canyon Fire Continuation (Forest Service Order 12-20), the southern terminus of the Rampart Range Road near Colorado Springs will remain closed. Please review Order 12-20 (http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5393713.pdf) and Exhibit A map (http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5393714.pdf) before you go out and recreate.
