Are there any good deals on the winches with synthetic line? I am just about to pull the trigger on an XRC 8 Comp series, but I could be talked into one of these if the price is right.

Shoot Frank, the first vid could go on the snorkel thread too:) FYI: for those new to winching, both these vids show a single line pull, they should have used a snatch block to double the line and make it easier on the winch, IMHO, so basically I am saying purchase the recovery gear on top of the winch!! Great deals Frank!
Jared, buy this winch, and then purchase the synth line/hawse lead later. Frank can give the for sure on this, but I am sure any winch can have synth line.

This winch is easily upgrade to synthetic line but some manufacturers that use in the drum brakes don't recommend it do to high heat concerns.

Warn's Spydura rope is thicker at the drum end just for this, but I see the point of just buying a winch that comes factory with synth line on it. I replaced my atv Warn line to the Spydura last year, and after all the pulling I did a week ago I should go pull the entire line out and give it look over.

I am done getting stuck in my plow, needing a pull from behind. Hey Frank is there a carrier mount for this thru you or do I need to buy it separately? I am going to have a receiver put on the back of the YJ and use this winch in the carrier. That way I could have it for my J-20's and a rear winch option for my Rubicon too. I am going to buy the recovery kit as well, new winch, new stuff just for it. I am totally done getting stuck just enough that the come-along becomes a pain in the arse, or calling the wife or friends that are available. If I cannot use this in a carrier, I will simply have it mounted in the back of the YJ, done deal. I may buy the synth line for it too, I do not like cable anymore, but at this point I need the winch!! I will post up some pics later.

Done deal, just bought the winch and the recovery kit. Thanks for the great deal Frank, still would like to hear from you about the receiver mount/carrier option and if you carry synth line. Anxious to get this on my plow Jeep! :)

Thank you Frank!! Will check the site later for the cradle! I made the mistake of buying the atv/utv recovery kit, but no worries, I can use it as well (for my atv). I also bought the correct recovery kit:redface:

Thanks again Frank! My getting stuck while plowing alone days are over :) New custom bumper with some nice shackles, similar to my 1980 J-20 bumper only this has the receiver in the bumper not under it, for extra ground clearance. Still have to wire a electric disconnect for this and each vehicle front and rear and I will be set in all my vehicles:). BTW, Aidan is checking out all the different metals his fancy magnet picks up, he says he wishes gold was magnetic :)
