364 days in a year, 260 work days(m-f), 247 days worked, 13 weeks on call (ridiculous hours and 26 more days worked)= 75% of my days are spent at work :frown: only 3 more years to go before I get 5 more days of vacation that drops it down to 73.8% then, woohoo...ish

My wife is off too. She had a non-refundable, all day, outdoor field trip planned for today too. But now because school was cancelled, they can reschedule it.
Not much snow, but the roads were pretty slippery when I drove in.

Nothing to worry about here so far. I think they jumped the gun on this one. We'll see what the afternoon brings, but this is just a non-issue. :erm:

anything up to 12', that's right 12 feet, is a non-issue for me :) Blizzard of 2003, I had 9-12' in the course of 3 days, day 1= 3' ,day 2= 4', day 3= 5' then the wind started :)

Did anyone shovel? I didn't. I'll probably take a broom to the deck (north side of house), but the front of the house (south side) will be dry by noon I'm sure and the grass will probably be clear by 5.

I had to scrape ice off the windshield this morning, but that was it. The rest will be dry very soon.

They totally jumped the gun last week. That was nothing more than a shower near us. Today is a different story. I just finished shoveling off about 16" + and it looks like a "round two" will be necessary shortly. (Yet no closure announced yet for Jeffco that I have seen). But the local news says the temps are going to drop dramatically and freeze everything. And we're supposed to get more on Wednesday.
Not complaining - we need it. But I wish they could be a bit more on-the-ball with school closures. :erm:

I have a 10 am start today and got to enjoy it shoveling the drive way and putting bricks in the back of my truck
ExplorerTom

Just shovel the snow into the back of the truck. That way it's there when you need it, and it's melted out when you don't.

1AM Tuesday on the patio...
12" ruler on the small table - perhaps 13+ inches of snow.

School opened as usual today. The roads really weren't that bad.

Same here - roads in town, even the ones that get no plowing are essentially clear. The asphalt, with the warm temps we're having, is warm enough to melt it off (but it's sticking everywhere else). It looks GREAT on the pine trees!
Here's to hoping the jetstream drops south a bit tomorrow for another full day of snowfall.
