Finally had it with my landlords. We have been paying too much for this crappy duplex ($1200) and we are looking to move by June 1st. Rather stay on the west side of town due to Neil's school (Lakewood Sr High). We have 2 dogs and a cat there are 3 of us so a min of a 2 bdrm. Would rather keep the cost low and would prefer a house. Please let me know if you see anything. I have been surfing Craigslist but any other resources are welcome! TiA. :thumb:

I will ask some folks I know in town if they know of anything down that way(Lakewood). Look into buying something if you can, no sense paying rent that could be earning equity, and no one to 'finally had it with...' Or are you waiting for Neil to grad. and move on?

Finally had it with my landlords. We have been paying too much
I'm gonna have to seccond this one too.
were paying 715 for a 990sqft 2bedroom apartment in the butthole of westminster. all of my nabiors are either gangbangers or drunk crack heads. weve been looking for a smaller house or somthing to rent at or below 1,000 a month would prefer on the lower end of the price wheel. anything would be better than where i am now. but my probblem is that when i was younger i made some bad decisions and got myself a felony. so now even tho it was a long time ago and ive since then started a family and cleaned up my act. finding a place to live is SO SO SO hard.
no one wants to give a chance to non violent felons at all here in Colorado and the only Felon friendly places i can easily move in to are SUPER bad ares. that and having bad credit also does not help my cause. but nevertheless like brad said. if you guys see anything or know of anything let me know, my lease is up in October and i can get out eirly whenever i would like ive lived here for 4 years. 2 cats, 6yr old German Sheppard, 2 kids and my girl and i

Paul, we are looking up towards Idaho springs as well as any semi close mountain towns, ie still commutable. Our plan is to stay close until Neil graduates then get land in the mountains and build what we want. Buying in Denver is not possible as some of you know we have a foreclosure from 2011 and are still rebuilding our credit.

We learned over the past couple of months that rents have gone way up and finding a good place to rent is not easy. We put our house on CL last month for 1475 and I was getting 40 calls per day on it. Our renters decided to stay even with the rent increase or I would let you rent ours Brad. It's 2100 square foot finished... I'll let you know next year if they decide to leave.
