So i traded my roof rack for a Hi-Lift jack & a pair of Brand new in box Fully adjustable lower control arms for my xj.
what are these for? why are they better than my current fixed arms? what benefits will i gain from having them

Well if your pinion and caster angle were good before, then prolly nothing. You can set them to same length and be good. Post up some pics, that'll always help

Agreed! You'll be able to adjust for caster and the johnny joint on the one end will help flex a ton while the rubber bushing on the opposite end helps keep road noise to a minimum.

SCORE!!!!!
Check the arms you have installed to see if they use the spherical joints. After seeing a set in action, I've wanted them for mine.
