As some of you may have read, i went to do a head job on my fj60 and found out it was cracked. Before thinking I said it was okay for them to go ahead and trash the engine since it was beyond repair and it all needed to be replaced anyway. However I forgot about 2 fittings on the rear of the head, one of them goes to the heater lines, and I cant remember what the other one goes to, Or which hole is which really. If someone has a 2F, and could take a look or try and get a picture for me that would be great. Heres a pic of the spot I am referring to.
Thanks In Advance,
Chris

I am not sure of that motor, but I tried a search and this popped up (not totally clear if this helps):

Sorta helped, I did cross post this on Ih8mud, and they ended up telling me what I needed to know, and then some! Turns out the forward hole is for a fitting that connects the Temp Sender. The aft hole is as i thought and is for the heater bypass and heater core lines.
Thanks for the help Jim, going back helped more than I thought.

Chris, you know I don't have much engine knowledge, but if it's the fitting on the left (toward front of engine), I think it might be the heat sensor. I just looked at my 2F tonight by flashlight, but it's dark outside (parked at the curb), I'm old and my eyes are bad and there's a lot of stuff in the way. But I recall replacing the sensor a couple of years ago, and that looks like where it was. The wiring from the sensor runs through the firewall. So I'm going with heat sensor. Final answer. And the one on the right in your photo (toward the rear of the engine) is the connection for the heater line.

And, thanks, by the way. While I was poking around under the hood, I noticed a disconnected hose. I'll need to slap a clamp on it soon, so it stays put.

Thanks for checking it out Rob, and confirming my suspicions!
Your welcome about the hose, always looking for you old timers :D
But really thanks again!

Still rather here it from a friend than the ih8mud board. I seem to have clashing opinions over there, a lot.

Thanks, Chris. Haven't been on mud in a while, but it was a pretty good resource for a while after I got the 40. Still, I know what you mean about clashing opinions over there. Makes for some fun reading sometimes.
