I wanted a mirror solution for my 2005 LJ when I go without doors. It became obvious after I tried to pull out of a tight parallel parking spot into significant traffic. :) After doing a lot of reading, I went with the Rugged Ridge Quick Release Mirror Kit and bought a pair (driver and passenger) side.
Here they are at Quadratec, many places sell them: http://www.quadratec.com/products/13025_140X_PG.htm
Both driver and passenger mirrors are identical, just oriented differently depending on which side of the Jeep you mount them to. They work for both TJ/LJ and JK/JKU style jeeps, but mount differently.

Passenger Side:

I love my driver side mirror and hate the passenger side mirror. They are exactly the same product, but the passenger side is too far away and has too small of a mirror to be useful on the far side of the Jeep.
I uninstalled the passenger side and just use the driver's side now. Because of the mounting bracket, there were no scratches or blemishes on the passenger side that I removed.
Recommend the driver's side, but only buy 1. Don't buy the second for the passenger side.
There are minimal vibrations, and some whistling when driving above 40. No tools required to put the mirror on, take it off. The whistling will vary based on what angle you mount the mirror.
