I just picked up another ZJ. Im already building a crawler so my buddy and I want to take this one to the drag strip. My friend has a sweet mopar 440 with a twin 4 barrel carb and huge cams. I think we are going to tub and drop this one almost 6 inches. we are trying to see if we can get a grand Cherokee to do an 11 sec quarter mile. sorry to all the off road jeep purests but this will be awesome if we ever get it done

A gear head is a gear head, it doesn't matter if it is hot roddin or 4 wheelin. That is why I have 1 of each :D

There is a guy in one of my other forums that has a 98 ZJ that runs low 10s. He is stroked, supercharged and nitrous on that thing. Sounds like you are going to have fun with this one. My ZJ I am aiming for mid 14s when I am done. Looking forward to seeing this.

That should be a fun ride! You still need to stiffen up that unibody... :)

Yeah I am not putting down near the power of that 440 and am thinking about it. Less than $200 for a set of frame stiffeners is much cheaper than needing them and not having them.

this may be a long time coming the motor alone is just about 8000 but will still be fun. im shooting for a complete n/a build and going for 11s. the stiffeners are going to be similar to the crawler because I don't want that unibody to fail completely making the body twst with it
