Anyone mount an mv50 under hood? Intrigued by seeing the mv90 underhood mount.

I haven't.

I like the ability to stow it in the rear of the jeep to help keep weight more even between front & rear. (yea, it's not much weight, but it adds up).

Seems at that price I would seriously be considering a Viair.
