Dang! Enough already!

We're heading out to Grand Lake in the morning. We obviously won't be taking our preferred route through Boulder/Lyons/Estes/Trailridge road... Instead, we're planning on taking the I70 route from Arvada to Winter park. Do any of you think we'll experience trouble with that route?

I should add that we will be driving the mini-van... The Jeep and Motorcycle are staying home. We'll have Annika's little dirt bike in the back of the van in case we get luucky enough to find a place on Stillwater Pass for her to practice for a while.

I-70 was closed today due to flooding/slides somewhere before Georgetown. They apparently re-opened it mid-day today, but with the rain they seem to be getting right now, it wouldn't surprise me if things close again. Be careful and be prepared to stay a few days!

I heard (NPR radio) that Trail Ridge was open. I'd imagine that the Peak-To-Peak might be open (I-70 to Estes) - though the P2P would be slower than via Winter Park route (so long as that route is open).

I heard on the news that the park has order all visitors out. They didn't say why. I'd check before planning a trail ridge route.
