Hi I'm Jami. I own the black Frontier some of you have seen in Funrover's posts. I live in Monument and am pretty new to 4wheelin. I work at a import repair shop in Castle Rock. I love imports, Domestics not so much!. I'd love to own a new 4 door Rubicon though.. Normally it's me and the wife and my 3 kids out there on the trails together. The kids love it!. I'm looking at upgrades right now as the bug has set in. I'd like some advice on what to do first, I'm thinking skid plates, then sliders and then possibly a lift. My truck only gets used on the weekends on the trails, I know it's not a great platform to start with being a crew cab long bed. But it's paid for and we have made it through some tough trails so far. If anyone needs help or advise on any import let me know.

Welcome! Upgrades depend on what you are looking to do and your opinion I think skids lift sliders would be a good start. I also think your truck is a good start it's got a good wheel base and you can probably get a good amount of aftermarket parts for it.

Welcome to Front Range Jami! I think the single best mod any of us should do is sliders, protect the body/rocker panels before it's too late then move on to armor, tires, etc.

Welcome to FR. Agree with Chris, protect the rockers & doors first. No fun when the doors won't open. Check out heftyfabworks.com here in the Springs. They make some really cool Nissan bumpers, sliders, & skidplates & will install for you if you want. It's a local family business and they will treat you right and stand behind every item they build.

Welcome.

As far as first mods go, start with recovery gear. (straps, shackles, tree saver, shovel, even a winch) You can always move the gear to another rig if/when your plans change. After that, sliders are good because they don't force you to make a bunch of other changes to the rig.
